Mark your calendars: 2.2.22.” In the video posted on social media, footage of the franchise’s most iconic players and coaches rolls, along with images of fans cheering on the team. Dramatic music and snippets of radio broadcasts play as interspersed texts pays homage to their history, fans, players and community as it teases to the forthcoming change....

The suspect has been identified as a 58-year-old female educator working at Emerald Ridge High School in South Hill, Puyallup. The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department said on social media that it was notified about the alleged verbal threat at approximately 6 p.m. Tuesday. A caseworker alleged the woman threatened to shoot students during a phone call. The teacher was placed on leave after police notified the school district. Ed Troyer, spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, told the Tacoma News Tribune newspaper that deputies had questioned the suspect yesterday at a home she shares with her husband....

Washington state labor law requires most employers to provide their workers with restroom facilities. But because of the uniquely itinerant nature of commercial trucking, the law leaves drivers without access to a restroom facility. “It would seem to me that logic would determine that this would already be handled or taken care of but evidently not,” state Rep. Mike Sells, D-Everett, told the Washington Transportation Committee last week. Sells was there to advance legislation he’s sponsoring that’s aimed at addressing the situation....

The circumstances of the shooting have puzzled Yakima police, as prosecutors weigh whether to charge the suspect as an adult, the Yakima Herald-Republic reported. “We have a 16-year-old who is deceased and a 15-year-old who is facing murder,” Yakima Police Department Captain Jay Seely said. “There is no reason for it, none.” The deadly incident Tuesday follows a recent outbreak of shootings nationally. A Texas man was arrested and charged with capital murder after a shooting Wednesday in which he allegedly killed two dentists....
