Archer made an incredible catch look easy to dismiss Max Bryant (7) in the third over at Bellerive Oval.
Bryant tried to hit James Faulkner over mid on, but Archer casually took a one-handed catch on the boundary and – realising he was off balance – threw the ball into the air and stepped over the rope before returning to complete it.
The 23-year-old then took two wickets in his first over for the table-topping Hurricanes.
