Watch As Mysterious Black Cat Runs Across Ice Before Sharks Predators Game 1

Before Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals between the Sharks and Predators at the SAP Center, a black cat came running onto the ice during warmups in front of the Sharks’ bench and scurried along until it found another opening to run off and disappear into the night.

Perhaps this kitty heard that Predators fans like to throw dead catfish on the ice and was hoping for some grub. Whatever it was doing there, we’ll have to see how this series shakes out to determine if this was a bad omen for the Sharks, who are in the second round for the first time since 2013.

The cat tried its darndest to run free, but alas…

All we can hope is that this doesn’t lead to Sharks fans throwing cats on the ice for good luck.
