Even more impressive was how Pillar got to third base. The Blue Jays star started the eighth inning by reaching on a single to right in MLB on Saturday.
Pillar then promptly stole second base. Then for good measure, he decided to take third.
Finally, feeling confident, he danced off the bag, got into Betances’ head and sprinted for home.
Betances’ pitch went wild and Pillar crossed the plate standing.
It ended Toronto’s two-match losing streak to open the season against the Yankees.
