In case you didn’t know…
Virat Kohli is one of the most passionate and aggressive players on the field. He was caught in a media frenzy in November when he asked a fan to ‘leave India’ after he stated that he likes watching English and Australian batsmen more than the Indian players.
Kohli, however, has shown us in the past that he loves and respects the Indian fans and people important to him. During the tour of Australia, the Skipper was seen taking pictures with the fans in Brisbane, ahead of the first T20I.
The heart of the matter
In a video posted on social media, the Indian captain was seen celebrating the birthday of his security personnel member, Faizal Khan.
Kohli actively participated in the celebration, clapping and singing the birthday song. He even ate a piece of cake and gave Faizal a birthday gift. He took his security personnel by surprise and Faisal looked clearly overwhelmed by the gesture of Indian captain.

The video went viral all over social media and fans across the globe absolutely loved the gesture from Virat Kohli. The Indian captain has proved that he is a hero not only on the field but off the field as well.

What’s next?
After a brief break from the game, Kohli is back in India’s colours for the ongoing limited-overs series against Australia at home. After losing the first T20I in Vizag on Sunday, Kohli & Co. will look to level the two-match T20I series when they play Australia in Bengaluru on Wednesday. India will play five ODIs after the T20Is.
