Preparing for the British Masters, crowd favourite Johnston was asked to put his signature on a male spectator’s stomach at Walton Heath Golf Club.
The fan lifted up his shirt to Johnston and the one-time European Tour winner happily put pen to belly – writing “Beef” across the man’s skin.
While not permanent, it is a moment both men – who shared an embrace afterwards – will not forget in a hurry.
