The hit comes a few hours after Sabres winger Patrick Kaleta, like Lapierre a habitually dirty player, was suspended 10 games for elbowing Blue Jackets defenseman Jack Johnson. Kaleta had been suspended three times before and Lapierre just once, though, so another 10-gamer is unlikely.
